about

"Kekova" is a very small island in the south of Turkey, only accessible by boat, with a strong history and surrounded by ancient ruins of a lost Lycian civilization. It was with this rich background that Joal started working on his track, absorbing influences from such a unique and beautiful culture and place. The result is a celebration of influences between a soft oriental melody and a strong electronic rhythm.

We invited "Between Ourselves" to remix "Kekova". Catching everything that's special about the original version and twisting it into a way more intense, deep and melancholic mood.

"Krumme Lanke". Named after the well known lake, located on the surroundings of Berlin, is a full on dialog between different synthesizers and percussive sounds. The result is a 7 minutes voyage of ups and downs, culminating in a hypnotic lead that will live in your head for time to come.

Closing up our first release of 2019, we present you with the "Live in Cologne" mix of "Krumme Lanke". This version comes up after a recent live act gig by Joal played in Cologne, in an attempt to spice up things and freshen up the set. The result and feedback was so positive that he ended up replicating and transforming it into a full track.

"Kekova EP" is a personal journey and a state of mind that so much defines our label: It is dark but bright, sad but happy, intense but soft. It's complete.
